About Social CBD: Trustworthiness & Industry Prominence
Select CBD was founded in 2017 and quickly became one of the most well-known brands on the Pacific Coast. The company transformed into Social CBD in August 2019, and is now one of the most reputable and well-respected CBD companies on the market.
The brand has over 4,000 reviews on Trustpilot (one of the most trusted CBD review sites), the majority of which are exceptionally positive. Social CBD claimed its Trustpilot profile in November 2018, and has an overall rating of 4.7 (Excellent), which is very impressive in the CBD industry.
Additionally, Social CBD has appeared in a number of high-profile publications, including Rolling Stone, Business Insider, and The New York Times.

Quality, Credentials, & Lab Testing
Social CBD ensures that all products are rigorously tested. They also follow all guidelines stipulated under the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s pesticide, residual alcohol, and microbial panel. Testing for purity and potency is an essential part of Social CBD’s process, which the company claims is done at every stage of production. They utilize an ISO 17025 accredited third-party lab for testing.
CBD brands often share their lab results online for all customers to view. However, the Social CBD lab reports appear to only be accessed if you have a batch or lot number. Unfortunately, this means that you will only be able to look up the certificate of analysis (COA) once you have purchased a product. Alternatively, the company does email lab reports by request if you want to see them before making a purchase.
Social CBD claims that products are tested for 58 unwanted residual contaminants and 30 pesticides. Since we couldn’t view the lab reports for ourselves, there is no way to verify this. But we’re quite certain this is a brand that speaks facts.

Return Policy & Quality Assurance
Social CBD claims to offer a “no hassle return policy” and will accept returns within 30 days of the date of purchase. To be eligible for a refund, your product must be unused and in the same condition that you received it, and it must be in the original packaging. Additionally, several types of goods are exempt from being returned (though based on the FAQ on the site, it wasn’t immediately clear which ones).
This makes Social CBD’s return policy a lot stricter than many other CBD brands we’ve reviewed. Some brands even accept returns if customers aren’t satisfied with their purchase (based on effects), as long as the product is at least half full.

Product Manufacturing Process
All of Social CBD’s products are made using American-grown hemp from local farms in Oregon. Although these farms aren’t certified organic, the company claims that natural growing practices are used.
Currently, the company uses ethanol extraction to extract the CBD for its isolate products, while a distillation extraction method is used to make its broad-spectrum products. Other than this, we couldn’t find much more information on the manufacturing process.

Additional Product Information
All products are made without THC – which means there is no need to worry about intoxicating effects. The brand offers both broad-spectrum and CBD isolate varieties, which leverage the benefits of natural hemp extract and maximizes the power of CBD.
A lot of Social CBD’s product selection is focused on novel flavor profiles. The brand’s tinctures, pet oils, and vape oils are all available in several flavors. These include cinnamon, lavender, vanilla, peppermint, pomegranate, blood orange, bacon (for pets), lemon ginger, and more.

Social CBD Review: Highlights
Social CBD strives to bring CBD to people from all walks of life. Here are five reasons we love this brand:
- High-quality products: All of Social CBD’s products are produced using high-quality ingredients. They're also tested several times during the manufacturing process. Each product comes with third-party batch test results, so you can check exactly what’s going into your body.
- Purpose-specific formulas: In addition to cannabidiol, Social CBD uses a range of other herbs and essential oils in its products to better target specific symptoms. As a customer, this makes the purchasing decision a lot easier because you can find a product that appeals to your needs. For instance, you can shop for products according to “Sleep,” “Stress,” “Energy & Focus,” and “Muscle Recovery,” depending on what symptoms you’re seeking to relieve.

- Charitable Causes: The company makes regular donations to charitable causes. In fact, Social recently donated 10% of its profit to Realm of Caring - an organization committed to improving lives through education, research, and advocacy around hemp and cannabis products.
- The Social Circle: Social CBD runs a loyalty and rewards program known as “The Social Circle.” By signing up, customers will earn points for every dollar spent. These points can then be used towards free shipping, discounts, and even free products.
- Veterans and First Responders Discount: In support of men and women who serve, Social CBD offers a 20% discount for veterans and first responders. Each qualifying member will be given an online account that authorizes an automatic 20% discount on all purchases.

Negative Thoughts
Social CBD definitely needs to up its game when it comes to transparency. Currently, there is not a lot of company information available on the website. Moreover, we couldn’t find much about the manufacturing process or vendors used. The website seems a little disorganized since some information is difficult to find. For example, the veterans and first responders discount is only mentioned under the “FAQ” tab – which seems quite odd.
Where to Buy Social CBD Products
The best place to buy Social CBD’s products is directly from the company website. Orders usually take one business day to process, and shipping takes an average of one to three days. There is free shipping on all orders of $99 and more; anything less than that, and shipping is a flat rate of $5.99. The site is well organized and easy-to-navigate, so the shopping process is straightforward.
For those interested in receiving products on a regular basis, there is an option to subscribe for monthly delivery. The best part is that this will entitle you to a 25% discount on all orders. You can cancel the subscription at any time.
